FH DOESNT WANT TO WEAR WEDDING BAND!

Hey girlies... FH is a personal trainer..so he works out EVERY day... he said he will wear his wedding band when he is training other people but not when he is working out because it will get all messed up from the weights n stuff (ok i get that..but i dont care lol) i want him to wear it al all times!!! hes not arguing me but i told him i would ask my LIW girls and see what they say about their FH's lol...so what do u think??? lol

My hubby works in construction and told me that it is dangerous for him to have a ring on. At first I was mad and thought that would extend into him just not wearing one at all (ie forgetting to put it on when he gets out of work or after showering) but he has been good about it.

I heard a story where one guy got his ring stuck in a hinge and it ripped his whole ringer off!!!! I say better safe than sorry

I honestly hate when I go to the gym after work and I have my e- ring on! I dont want to work out with it and risk getting it damaged, but if i dont go home first what can I do I just make sure to wear my gloves! Not a big deal IMO if he was saying he was going out with his boys to the bar and didnt want to wear it thennn there'd be problems!! LOL

Don't kill me for saying this.... BUT every time I wear my rings to the gym they get all banged up and I HATE IT!!! Maybe if you get a ring that is stronger than most - this wont happen? Mine are both platinum and very soft. The jewelers warned me about this happening - so I try to never wear them at the gym.

My FH is always doing work around the house and working on cars and stuff and he does not want to wear a ring...his dad didn't wear one either since he was always working with his hands. At first it bothered me, but if you love your FH and trust him, then I have finally decided that a ring shouldn't matter. Good luck!!

lol thanks girls...im not really mad i just was hoping i could b like 'see my LIW girls said u should wear it to the gym too' lol ohhh welll hahaha... my e ring is platinum and oir wedding bands will be also..so i guess he really will screw it up! ok fineeee FH wins! lol..but im telling him i get a little bigger diamonds in my edding band tho just for this! lolol

FH works in irrigation and landscaping so he won't be wearing his ring.

DH got a second band to wear to the gym and when he does work around the house. I thought it was cute that he wants to wear a band all the time but honestly, it wouldn't have bothered me if he didn't wear it for work/labor reasons. I think your FH is making a nice compromise by saying that he will wear it at the gym when he's not the one working out

I wouldn't 'Make' him and ontop of that it is dangerous for him to be lifting and what if it gets crushed he might then loose that finger and NEVER be able to wear one again!

im getting FH a simple chain to wear his ring on. He is a chemist and is worried that the materials he works with would destroy his band. He also is an emt and doesn't want to lose his ring while on a call. I think its fair that he doesnt want to ruin or lose his wedding band, but my compromise was the chain. HTH

It's actually pretty dangerous to workout and wear any jewelry - especially if you are using the machines. I actually never wear my e-ring or wedding band when I work out.

I was having this discussion with another newlywed a few weeks ago...she's more newlywed than I am. I guessed that DH wouldn't wear his wedding ring even before we were married...not that he has a job that could pose a danger but just that he wasn't a jewelry guy and I just didn't think it was him. I never brought the subject up because wedding ring or not he's still my hubby. Needless to say he wears his ring everyday and picked out a pretty special ring.

My dad never wore a wedding band...I have no clue what it even looks like. So I guess I was more used to the fact that I might have a husband that wouldn't wear one.

MY FH is a fireman and he cannot wear any type of metal on his body what so ever while he works. Plus he is not really a jewelry type of guy. so yes we will get him a ring, but he probably won't wear it half the time. i guess it's OK. I am a little bothered. but I much rather him be safe. HTH.
