I didnt want it at first either because it was just another expense I thought we could do without...anyway we are now having one and its only costing us $1300.....Sounds like a little but its everything!! I dont remember the name of them (FH took care of it) but when I get home I will FM you with it.

We chose just to have it at the church because that was all we wanted to be able to look back on essentially....Cost under $450. I think it's worth it.

I def think its worth it! You wont be able to see EVERYTHING..and the day will fly by. A video is the only thing that you will have to look at later on down the road that will give you that 'live' feeling! You dont need the most elabrate thing but something to watch later on or w/ your kids oneday!

I am using I Do Video. Raw footage all day is only $650. I am getting minimal editing with all day coverage with 3 DVDs with chapters and a 7-minute hightlight for $1200. FM me for info.

DEF HAVE THE VIDEO!!!!!!

Originally, FH and I weren't even going to get one, but it came with the wedding package, so we decided to keep it and I'm glad we did b/c shortly after our engagement, my Dad became really sick and although he gets stronger on a daily basis, 10 years from now, I want to be able to see my Dad live in action on our special day.

You should DEFINITELY get the video, let me tell you that the day went by so fast, neither of us can remember what happened- everything was a blur. As soon as the ceremony was over, I said to DH 'I am soo glad we got the video, because I have no idea what just happened!!'
I would cut back on other things before cutting out the video.

I can't imagine not having a video, I watch it once a week!!!!

Splurge - I was in the same situation and decided only a month ago to get a video. After just going through my bridal shower and being totally overwhelmed with just 25 people at a party, I couldn't imagine being able to fully enjoy myself and absorb all the little details and still meet and greet 150 people at the wedding. The day will go by so quick, IMO the video is necessary to help fill in the gaps of the day.

definately splurge - even if it's just for the raw uncut/unedited version (no frills) you will regret it if you don't. There is so much you miss on your wedding day and it honestly does go by so quickly. We had so much fun watching the video and I still watch it at least once a week.

This is one of the few things people say they regret not getting on their wedding day. Just think of when you have kids they will be able to watch your wedding day- I think that's the best

I think it’s totally worth it. The video will give you a look into everything that you couldn’t the day of, like how you looked walking down the ilse, or how you and FH looked walking back down the isle. I just think that the day goes by so fast that there is so much that you miss because you can’t be every where, but the video if done properly will capture some of what you missed.

I am debating the same question. Hoping to find someone who can capture the ceremony only for us for a reasonable amount. I think a nice compromise is to have just the ceremony taped!

I originally didn't want to spend the money on the video either but my cousin brought up a good point to me. You can look at pictures all you want but a video is actually a way to kinda of relive the day. She got married 10 years ago and now has 2 kids (and boy and a girl ) and they both ask to see mom and dad's wedding tape a lot more than she ever thought they ever would. Her, her husband and her kids all really enjoy the fact that they can sit and watch it and really be reminded of all the things that the still photo's couldn't catch.

I say go ahead and splurge on it, even if its just a half hour video or just a video of the ceremony, in the long run I don't think you or your FH will regret it!

You should definitely get the video, it captures every moment of your day. Pictures and video are the most important keepsake of a wedding day.

Getting the video is definitely something you will NEVER regret.

Honestly, that is the one thing I would DEFINITELY splurge on. You really might regret it if you dont have the video. Think about all the great stuff you will be missing while you are busy that day that you will get to see on the video. Go for it!!! You can check out Duet, I used them and thought they were wonderful.
