lol ... we arent doing anything religous he doesnt want to ... and im more spiritual than anything ... I think alhough it isnt certain i am going to poll my family ... lol with like random questions about des weddings .... i mean i know his family will go like his mom and brothers because they have to travel from israel all the way over here anyway so im sure they would rather go to an island then come here
Definitely poll your fam and see what they say. My good friend is planning a destination wedding for next year. Plus while on vacation, I saw about 6 brides, no lie and they all looked really lovely.
WOW that is great!!!! I love the ideas of destination weddings- but I know that I would not be able to have one for a few reasons: our grandmothers who we love dearly dont fly and woulnt come- and I always wanted to get married in a church....BBBUUUTTT in your case I would definatly go for it! You would have amazing pics, and it would be somthing nice to say you have done...Plus your honeymoon starts early...lol
I would love it if one of my friends had a destination wedding...I would be the 1st one to rsvp Yes!

well for the people that couldn't make it to the destination wedding, you could always have a small reception here when you get back for those people to attend. then you could have 2 parties
A friend of mine did a destination wedding in Aruba. It was just close friends and family. But in two months she is having a big party at her familys house for everyone. It saved a ton of money and it was soooo beautiful. Plus now that the big party is at her parents house, it saved a lot of money there too and everyone still gets to go.
I think as long as you're having a small wedding it would be ALOT of fun. I've never been to a destination wedding and probably never will. It would be a great and unique experience for everyone!!
We wanted a destination wedding at first. But then we realized it was going to cost us just as much if not more to have one as having a regular wedding and a lot of people wouldnt come. We both have quite a few family members that couldnt afford to travel and who dont fly.
That sounds so nice. In the end its up to what you want to do... if you want a destination wedding then go for it! I know if i was invited to a friend's destination wedding, i would def book my plane ticket asap!
WOW thanks ladies for the input .... so its not set in stone but i am going to start looking around ... he doesnt say much but when he does he means what he says so im thinking he is serious about this .... I asked my two best friends they were like WHERE AND WHEN so they are down but my sis who has two kids was like umm ... do i have to pay for everything lol ... i will help her pay .... as for everyone else they are on thier own ... i will pay for events like fun things to do while we are there , like maybe i willl plan a whole day of stuff ... and i will pay for the ' reception after the wedding ' which will probably be like a dinner ... My reseach begins
