FH got called to court for a ticket from over 6 years ago!!

FH got called to court for a ticket from over 6 years ago!!

We dont even know WHAT car it was on...it says he must appear or his license will be suspended, it was a date of AUGUST 1998!!!!

He didnt even haave a car then, so one of his brothers must have used his name ( it says uninsured car was the reason) but SIX YEARS LATER?

How was he able to register like 5 cars since then ?

SO DUMB!

I KNOW!

Now I'm SURE he's going to get a huge fine or he wouldnt have to appear, and HE'S sure it was one of his brothers and the car probably WAS NOT insured so he cant even prove it was...but ahhhhhhh...we cant afford this.

I would really check that it wasn't actually supposed to be for someone else. Last year, DH got a notice that he had not responded to a ticket (I think it was a parking ticket though). We looked at the thing and it said it was written in Rye, NY the night before our wedding - which abviously we were not in Rye the night before our wedding or any time. When he checked into it, it turned out that the officer must not have god handwriting so they mistook the license plate number for his. Anyway, just make sure they even have the right number.

oneday- I looked at it and it doesnt say anything about 'where' ...its from Nassua county courts...all it says is the date and the reason....I hope its a mistake!

Good OLE Nassau County Courts. My husband had a restricted license. He just got a ticket for something (maybe speeding) He went to court and the guy was like you have all these tickets He was like they are from 8 years ago. He said there is not Statue (Thats the word I think) of limitation in the nassau county court. Mike has been pulled over in Westchester and the bronx the guy said well we are different then the borrows.
