Ok so FH has sleeping issues, he doesn't sleep through the night. EVER...so I've gotten kind of used to it at this point, but some nights he likes to change it up a bit!!! lol Last night I was awoken by a loud scream. So i jump up and i'm like 'W T F just happened?!?!' So he goes 'You're going to kill me' HAHA so i was like umm in my sleep?? He's like I swear you're trying to kill me. I was like whoa dude, you have some major issues and i think you need to see a doctor lol....So at 1:57AM this morning i was trying to convince him that I'm not going to kill him and that i just want to sleep lol And finally we both fell back asleep and woke up and he was still mad at me. FH had a very rough childhood, so he thinks thats why he cant sleep anymore. When he was younger he would hear his parents fighting every night and he would see horrible things that he wouldnt even wish on his worst enemy...so he always had nightmares...so i understand that part... But he refuses to do anything about it and I have to suffer everynight with him talking and yelling in his sleep lol

I'm so sorry, that's really rough. I definitely think going to a doctor would help him..... but, it's so hard to convince a man to go to a doctor!!!

I think that until he deals with those issues he wont be able to sleep well at night...Its probably things from his past that he doesn't like to think about or face but you can't run from things like that and they'll always come back to haunt you until you face it. Maybe talking to a therapist can help

Re: FH has issues!!!
He really needs to see someone about this. Not sleeping will affect his health, his mental well being and a lot of other things...but most importantly his health!!!
My dad was diagnosed with sleep apnea recently & since he's been sleeping better (with the help of a machine) - he's lost 5 pounds, his blood pressure went down & he doesn't fall asleep EVERYWHERE... Getting a good amount of sleep is VERY important for your health...

yeah i know people who do the same thing and it never goes away. Somehow he needs to understand that an issue that has been haunting him for YEARS wont just one day go away.

I am like that with others driving...I seriously will think about it constantly ahead of time like ok they're going to drive, it will be ok dont think about it...then in the car my stomach is in knots the whole time and a nervous wreck, i sit there and watch their every move. It drives Fh nuts bc i air brake and dont even realize it, he'll point it out and say AHHH stop braking with your foot i see you lol. Im better with Fh though than alot of other ppl bc im constantly in the car with him so im used to his driving, although ill still freak out at moments. I wont show others though how afraid i am, i try to stay calm, but inside im a wreck lol

Sorry to hear that, like the other girl's said try to convince him to seek treatment even if it means that you go with him to his appointments. Tell him maybe for him to go once and if he doesnt like it then he can stop. Eventually this is going to take a toll on his body as he is not getting the necessary rest he needs to function.

Re: FH has issues!!!
He's never going to get over this until he goes and talks to someone. My personal opinion would be a psychologist, not a pill persribing medical doctor. Pills could come at another time, but he needs to work on this issue mentally most importantly. These are obviously childhood wounds. If you would like a recommendation FM me.
