He hates to dance because he thinks he's terrible. We've only danced together once, I love him, but he's right. He has no rhythm. Has anyone been to a patient instructor with a talent for shy dancers? He's so embarrassed he doesn't even want me to be at the lesson. Any suggestions?

I hear Arthur Murray is good, pricey but good. My aunt and uncle take classes at Nassau Community College and like it, maybe theres a class starting next semester.

Nassau preferably. Thank you so much! I'm hoping to give this as a Valentine's gift.

Re: FH hates to dance, lessons needed!
Nassau CC has classes starting in March. $85 pp for 10 classes. Classes are an hour and a half. There are classes Mon 7-8:30 and 9-10:30 and Sat but I'm not sure what time. I just received a shedule of all their non-credit courses. When I get home I'll post the phone number. They have a variety of dance classes but the ones I mentioned are for begining ballroom dance and are the basic dances (waltz and stuff); they also have classes for swing and a few others.

Fh and I took dance for 4 weeks, we came very close to killing each other. I figure I would rather look like we have no rythm, then kill each other before the wedding!
CHeck with your local school district. Many have adult ed. classes. That are very cheep!
