So,when we decided to look for venues this is what we decided we needed.
ceremony large lobby/lounge area for guest to hang out in if they got there early so they wouldnt have to wait in a cocktail room or ceremony room. large enough venue for indoor pictures in case of bad weather. plus he doesnt want to see me until the ceremony
So we go to the harbor club and he likes it. if any of you have been there it doesnt have anything we are looking for.
plus he is 6'2 and a part of the reception room is so low that if he puts his arms up his hand would hit the top.
i told him it wouldnt work but i feel bad because he seems to like it.
what should i do? should we go back and change what we orgianlly wanted?
i want him to be happy too

it depends...sometimes you think you know waht you want but when u start looking you change your mind. so if you both like it even though it doesnt have what you originally wanted...then go for it.
but you BOTH should love it...so make sure its not just him that likes it....i am sure you can find a place you both love!

Well you just started looking so I would see a few other halls and if you can't find one that's absolutely perfect, then decide what you're willing to give up. I wouldn't settle for something you didn't want right away.

as long as you both love the place, doesnt matter what you originally wanted. When planning you at first have different ideas until you see places.
ALso ask your rh what they do if guests arrive early. JT had a lounge area downstairs with food and drinks, plus music for guests to hang out at if they got there early. I know other rh's do the same.

there are so many halls out there. i know its frustrating but you will know when the right hall is for you.. so if you hadn't liked anything yet then keep looking

I agree. When we went to our RH, it didn't have ANYTHING that we were originally looking for (no great outside space, not in the 5 boroughs), but we both fell in love with it and threw our list (and our budget!) out the window. If you love it, that matters more than what you thought you needed.
If you don't like it, but he does, then I'd keep looking until you find something you BOTH love. FH loved on RH that we looked at, but I wasn't crazy about it. We kept looking, knowing that we could always come back and ended up finding the perfect place.
majestic gardens has a beautiful lobby area very nicely decorated and with some nice seating really beautiful. that place is really pretty and not super expensive you should check it out
