If your FH wanted to wear a ridiculous outfit to the wedding, would you let him? BTW, that's not the only reason I'm in a bad mood...

Re: FH is being
How ridiculous are we taking about? FH is making me have our entrance song as the hulk hogan theme song and then he told me he wanted to wear a red bow tie as we were coming out. I shot that idea down real quick. I'm still stuck with the hulk hogan theme song though.

Re: FH is being
maybe let him have one of those elements.
you get the cane so you can hit him in the knees with it if he starts misbehaving.

Heck no, I would shut that the eff down....we are having a sunday afternoon wedding...but even if we were having a saturday night wedding, there's no way I would let him wear something like that.
It makes what is the most important day in your life into a joke. Not to mention you have to look at these pictures the rest of your life.
I'd compromise and tell him he could wear a tux with a bow tie and cummerbund and if he wanted to when you walked into the reception he could have the top hat and cane. NO RUFFLED SHIRTS, PERIOD.

Re: FH is being
FH keeps telling me he wants a top hat, cane and tails. I told him I want standard tux for the ceremony. For the reception, he can make as big of an a$$ of himself as he wants

I kind of have a funny sense of humor...FH wants to change into Dumb and Dumber tuxes after the ceremony....In my drunken stupor the other night I apparently agreed!

WOW I thought I was the only one with this issue, I feel so much better - thanks!!!!
Our 2 best men would like to wear the tuxes from Dumb and Dumber. I am not J/K either. They have contacted many tux rental places on the island but have not had luck finding someone that they could rent all the pieces from - Thank God!!!

FH wants the top hat, etc......I already told him he's getting a plain, regular black tux, no ifs, ands or buts about it. I'm guessing I will have to go pick it out and make sure he doesn't pick anything silly.
