FH is frustrated & so am I...Destination wedding????
Original post by 00besi
Hi ladies, so since everything is just not going well, FH (who is currently deployed) said f-it! Lets just go to an all inclusive resort just you and me ceremony there and honeymoon the rest of the time and we'll have a small party when we get back...
I see the good in this, i guess we could have an indoor off season event for cheap since my main wants are fall, waterfront, evening wedding and that is proving to be challenging for a good price.
On an island sunset by the water is a given...
any thoughts or recommendations are highly appreciated...I am liking this idea more & more...

MOH just got married last summer on a Carnival Cruise. The ship set everything up and the ceremony was on a Beach in Grand Cayman. It was perfect, and really not that expensive.

Ahh Grand Caymen, that's what it was, not the Bahamas... The cruise was carnival as well!

I would say do it if its just you and fh. Otherwise, me personally, I think its a lot to ask of people to travel and spend that much. Basically havin them there is their gift to you also. That's my opinion but like I said if its you and fh just u two and like a moh or best man I'd say heck! Do it

This is a great idea! Maybe some of your family could join you.
I'm having a destination wedding AND inviting my family and friends. We know full well it's a lot to ask of people to make the trip and we don't expect everyone to make it or give us gifts. In fact, I've been telling people to not give us a gift because we already know the expense to just be there.
For us, this is the way we wanted it. We wanted to get married on an island, on the beach. There could be 2 or 20 people there, it wouldn't matter.
Do you think the people closest to you would be willing to go to where you want to go for the ceremony?
