So heres the deal. WE go out all the time and he spends tons of money. He spent more money than anyone i know has ever spent on an engagement ring, he owns tons of homes and is not spending that mch on our wedding as my fam is doingmost of it. I know we have a lot to pay for after the wedding, but thats all he is focusing on now that we are discussing the honeymoon. I know we dont need to spend a million dollars on our honeymoon and havea lot to pay for after, but hes just so uncooperative with this!!!!! ugh i want to scream!!!!!!!!!!! i just wish this was booked already and much less expensive.

Where are you planning to go and how long? Maybe you can shorten the trip a bit or downgrade the room or something....

i already offered to cut the trip shorter and spend part of thetime in oneof our apts in florida. I told him we should do an all inclusive for like 4 nights instead of 7 and go to one of our that we already own for a few days like w do all the time! Ontop of this i go downstairs tomake myself food.....come upstairs and he hs calld me 3 times. I call him back he says listen to ur voicemail and call me back. So i listen and its some old man telling me after 30 years of marriage he believes that the right way to do things is a tiny lil trip and then investing into a home! i called him back and was like r u kidding me?! is that supposed to make me not want to go away?! UGH he just keeps making things worse

we r gonna go right after the wedding, so like july 7th. I have been compromising a lot........and i dont think its much toask for! I mean honestly like we did go away this pastyear to Italy, but I paid for that for his birthday....some people say that was like our honeymoon, and iknow to some people it is and many people will think im selfish to want more, but i dont want much....just asmall trip to a carribean island as husband and wife. I dont care if its 4 nights or 2 weeks!

Did you try emailing travel tom? I can FM you his info if you want it. Fh and i got 7 days at the Riu in Aruba for a great deal. I understand the 'house first' argument, and the 'we only have one honeymoon' argument. Does he have a budget? or is he just saying everything is too much?

he has just told me there is a budget after discussing this and having my heart set on places (which he has known about and he has said he wanted too) for months!!!!!!!!! please FM me his info!!!!!! TIA!!!!!
