Two words : ENJOY IT!
Just have fun with it...we do! It's like playing house 24/7...I mean, there are things you'll have to get used to it but just remember how much fun it is and how lucky you are!

Congrats!! That's awesome!!
Is he moving into your place or are you getting a place together? Remember to keep him involved in decorating, it's not 'yours/mine' anymore now everything is 'ours'.

Luckily, my mom bought this house last year for me (down payment and mortgage so far). We haven't done much decorating and fh and I have the same taste decorating wise. I'm so excited. I feel like I'll be so clingy and prob will have to be aware of when I should give him space. Right now we see each other for stretches of 3-5 days at a time every 2 weeks. We are really close and love to be in each other's company all the time. when he gets up to go to the bathroom he'll ask me to come and keep him company. I'm sure that will change once we see each other all the time. omg- im just so giddy.

Congrats!!!! Never go to bed angry! Definitely keep the lines of communication open!! Other than that I love living with FH! WE have so much dang fun together!!! Like 2 teenagers! LOL!!
Congratulations!!! ... Well let me start by sayinng It was hard for me to live with someone because I was living just me and my son for 4 & 1/2 years but now me and FH have been living together for a year &1/2 and we had some living habits that we weren't aware of when we weren't living together that took some getting used to, but you guys seem to really love eachother so you'll get passed it just like we did. then just COMUNICATE! that is very important !! have fun with it ... it's like a constant sleep over party ... you know when you were younger and when there was no school, you never wanted to be separated from your best friend... well now you don't have to be!!!

my one concern: i can't shove random stuff under the bed and in the closet and more. he'd have a fit. plus he hangs up his clothes and cleans as soon as he comes home unlike me who uses the arm chair as a hanger.

awww you may find that he doesnt do that in your place. lol when i first started dating FH i thought he was a neat freak. but then when we moved in together it turns out it was all for show! he's as big a pig as i am
my advice is this, and it might sound old fashioned or silly... DON'T GO TO BED ANGRY OR UPSET!
Serioiusly. Stay up and talk it over. Don't let little things build up till you explode. If you have a problem with something mention it.
Don't sweat the really small stuff.. like dirty glasses on the table or whatever. Just pick it up and put it in the sink instead of yelling at him about it or vice versa. It's not worth it.
HAVE FUN!! Make sure to have your own space but also spend time together. Sometimes i think we both take living together for granted so we don't always snuggle as much as we used to and stuff like that.

lol I do the same thing it drives my fh nuts. I have a canopy bed so I also hang stuff up on it instead of the closet. he's always like come on the closet is 10 feet away!

decide who will do what in the apartment... i never did this with my husband and wish I did because we just sit around assuming the other person will do it. As soon as we moved in together I told my husband what all my other roommates and family knew, which was that I don't like talking in the morning cause it takes me a really long time to wake up. This way he didn't think I was just a grumpy person...

that would be considered a blessing in my home!
living together, just like marriage, is all about compromise. just keep the big picture in mind (how much you love eachother, how happy you are to be starting your lives together) and definitely don't sweat the small stuff like the previous poster said.
also, its important to maintain your own identities and continue to make plans with your friends separately sometimes. as much as you love eachother, don't forget to schedule special time for yourselves. it will allow you to appreciate eachother more!

wow, the only advice i can give is PATIENCE. I've lived with FH for way too long. Everytime I don't stay with him it feels like i'm not 'home.'
First month living together: ---You guys will be in 'lala' land
2nd month: --You start noticing each other's faults.
3rd month: ---You begin to get annoyed at each other. THIS IS THE POINT where you must compromise and be patient!!!! If you do this from the beginning, everything will be peachy.
