FH is NUTS!!!!!

So, as I was at the GTG, having fun and trying on wedding dresses (falling in love with one) FH just messaged me saying that he went to look at a house and he thinks its a good price and that we could afford it along with the renovations it would need . He wants me to go look at it with him tomorrow after work, holy crap, I think he's crazy!!!!!!!!

i'm definitely going to check it out, but i just don't feel like we are ready for buying a house, but i guess we are gonna have to start looking

It can't hurt to look. You gotta start sometime. It really s^cks thats we're getting married in '10 simply because of the market right now; I'm sooo afraid that by time we start looking we'll be too late to get a good price and good int rate.

Again, it cant hurt to look though!! (Kinda like the dresses! )

I think with the whole house it just makes it way too real (like the dresses) and it just seems like way too much sometimes (if that makes sense)

Yeah, we started looking at houses but we are gonna hold off a few more months. I know its really nerve racking, especially its a house, thats huge! But just take your time and think it over and you'll make the right decision!

It makes total sense.
So then maybe you should wait until you know you're more comfortable doing it. They'll be other houses and I'm sure FH will understand.

FH and i want to look at houses, but we are trying to wait like a year. i would probably freak out too if he sent me a message saying we were going to go look at one now!! best of luck when you go see it!!

i WISH FH would do that! when we went to the riviera i kept pointing out cute houses for sale and it was in one ear and out the other

i just come to the realization over the weekend that no matter how much money you spend or how many people u have at your wedding its only a one day event. you will need a house to live in for the rest of your life. it was really hard for me to accept this but i see what happened to my friends who recently got married. they all had rather elaborate weddings (1 girl is having 250 people at her wedding) but she has no furniture in her apartment. so you should look at the house & if you can afford it, i say go for it.
