FH is so in the doghouse today

FH is so in the doghouse today

Last night, he was sick. he has a cold btw.. I have to add that I have Crohns and I'm sick everyday. Men are such children.

Anyway, he's all cranky and somehow gets on this rant that I'm a closet bridezilla. He's the diva. I keep saying, why don't we elope to St Lucia. I'm the one holding off booking the RH.

Anyway, he started going on about my ring, saying I could have already had a ring if he chose the one the salesman told him to buy. FYI, I got a sweet deal on my setting through my contacts in my company. In the end, I looked at him and said, please...dealing with you, I deserve a freaking 10 million $ ring. I ended up crying and he decided to be funny and joke with me. I went to bed mad and I hate that. I have enough to deal with right now than to deal with his insanity. AND I called everything off and hello...he's already emailed me with wedding ****.

Geez, sometimes don't you want to kill them?

FH and I rarely have fights but he's also in the doghouse.

When we bought our house we got one that needed tlc to save money. FH was very confident about doing the majority of the work himself and reassured me constantly that he could handle it and we'd be okay.

Fast forward 3 months, we are moving at a snails pace on this house and FH and I pay a guy a grand to sand the wood floors but FH wants to stain it ourselves.

We stain it. FH got the wrong wood filler so the stain doesn't take in some areas

We have to pay the guy AGAIN to resand the whole thing! I am beyond livid. We could've paid the guy 2 grand to do it from the start if FH put his male ego aside. I wouldn't be staining at 12 midnight on a work night and we'd be out the same amount of money.

He just calls me to ask about paying a guy to do it all. Several more thousands.

W T F. I'm so mad right now and tearing up at work.

MEN. Seriously.

mines in in the doghouse now too. currently, i'm dealing with the situation about the RH and i'm absolutely livid about the situation and all he can offer me is a 'oh, that *****'.. i mean, seriously! i'm not the one that wanted to get married, he was! i've been trying to go above and beyond planning a wedding that i never wanted from the first place and sitting and crying at work about the situation while he sits at his job all calm as if nothing happened.

i just dont get them....ugh!

this is RIDICULOUS!!!! at this point i would just pay to have it done and learn from these mistakes for later. if you don't think you can do it, then don't try b/c it will cost you more in the long run. if its something that easier to do and you really think you can do it, then go for it.

yea, we've been living together for a while and bought a place together 2 years ago.

the reason why i didn't want to get married was personal. it had nothing to do with him or anyone else, just a personal preference. we already share a house, dog, car, etc... so i didn't see the purpose of spending all this money on a wedding and a ring if nothing between us will change... he was fully aware of this but proposed anyway... so i'm doing this for him. he seems to really want to solidify the relationship (though in my mind, it's already the best it can be)

Re: FH is so in the doghouse today

the only time I ever seriously want to kill FH is when I have work the following morning and FH decides to go to a bar with his friends... I tell him do not bother me or call me or try and doing anything when you get home because I have to get up early. He tells me fine but like clockwork at around 5:30am I will get a phone call from FH that says something like:

'Ummm hey you think you could come pick me up? I don't know where I am and I lost my brother but I got White Castle and I'm eating it now'

Ahhahahahaha! I like how he's lost but he managed to find White Castle.

Harold and Kumar wouldn't be too happy to hear that!

it's really sad how often this senario happens though. One time I didn't have work the next day but I still wanted to get a decent amount of sleep so i decided to stay home while he went out - I stupidly go and pick him up and don't know how we ended up in the White Castle drive thru but FH was like 'Well my brother said he was going to White castle so maybe he's there so let's go pick him up' - it was totally a ploy to get white castle for him... and mind you all this was done while I was still in my PJs in the car...

At least the day after when I wake up (or shall I say FH finally wakes up) I look at him, don't say a word and FH says 'I'm sorry, I'm an ***'... at least he knows LOL

I like your FH's style lol. You should stock your fridge with frozen white castles and booze. Let him go to town whiel you go to bed.

p.s I also have a 'look' I give FH when he's dangerously close to crossing a line or he's just crossed it. It is amazing how quickly he apoligizes. Then it's hard to keep a straight face!
