Here we were last night, after I got home from Hollie's, and then we decided to drink a little bit of alcohol. (Neither of us has a high tolerance since we rarely drink). He has 1 small glass. I had the same.
About a half hour later he's loopy and lays down. He now has the shivers, and I check his temperature and it's low. 96.7. I'm thinking it will pass, and he'll be ok.
I check him again another half hour later. Now he has a fever. It's 100.9. He gets up and says he's not feeling well and goes to the bathroom and throws up for a good 5 minutes. I check up on him and he's sitting on the floor looking lost. I tell him to get back in the bed. He's still has the chills, but falls asleep.
He gets up before me this morning and goes to the store. He comes back and passes out saying he feels weak. I take his temperature again. 102.5. This isn't looking good, so I give him some aspirin and some Gatorade. I told him if it gets much higher, we're going to the hospital. I checked him just now. 103.1. He seems more alert, but the fever is getting higher!! At what point should I rush him to the hospital? I've never seen him like this in all the time we've been together!!

OMG i am happy to hear that he is feeling better. just keep a close eye on him and if he gets a fever again at night i think you should take him to the hospital

I am glad he is feeling better. My FH had something a few months ago. His lasted for a few days though, but he also had a fever around 103. Some people's bodies work that way, as soon as something gets in their system, their temp goes up to fight it off.
By the way, I think the asprin thing is just for little kids, I think its called Reyes syndrome or something like that.
