FH just asked....

... if I weighed myself today! Which totally pissed me off. He is OBSESSED with his weight and going to the gym. That's fine, but he doesn't have to bring me into it. We just closed on our house and are doing lots of construction. I still live in Staten Island and commute to Nesconset on the weekends and my job makes me crazy. I am stressed from the house, wedding, work etc. and he knows it!

Sorry for the vent but it really annoys me because he constantly says I need to get back to the gym. Then he covers it up by saying he is joking!!! AHHHHHH

I'd just say...'Yeah I did weigh myself today and I'm down 2 lbs. How about you?'

FYI...If I had to commute from Staten Island to Nesconset on the weekends...I'd be stoping at all the great quickie resturants along the way!!!!!

Of course...it's not healthy to weight yourself everyday. But if my FH asked me that...that is what I'd say (what I said above).

You shouldn't be told. You should do it for yourself when you are ready.

vent away! i would be upset also!!! i never get on the scale and thank god FH doesnt or id have to kill him.. we dont even own a scale!

poo poo head! i hate when FH makes comments about my weight!! today he picked me up for the 1st time ever and was like 'PHEW!' I said 'Im sorry, i suppose i have to loose more weight for you' and he replies...'well its not like before when you were like thump thump thump ( elephant sounds)' I almost smacked him!

I think I'd sarcastically remark back on something he might be a little self-concious about...like maybe balding.

Sorry I'm spiteful that way. Thankfully FH never comments about my weight. If he does it's because I ask him for advice.

Vent all you want! I know how frustrating it is. I'm a stress eater and thought I would be losing weight now, but nope, not yet. oh well, I refuse to stress over that too.

Sounds like me and my FH in a way! He knows that going to the gym and getting into better shape is important to me but lately I haven't had the time so hes been asking me when I'm going to go back and telling me I should stop making excuses for myself to not go.........


Here's where my situation is different from your's though-

My FH eats anything he wants, doesn't go to the gym, and STILL looks fabulous!
