fh just laid down the law

he said now with 8 mths to go we need to be more 'frugal'....we have been saving money into a wedding acct but havent cut back on a lot of our other spending....he said now we really need to cut back on unnecessary expenses.

grr...i dont like being frugal

yea yea.. fh said that,too.

we went yesterday to get a new 900$ BICYCLE. i suggested he get new tires for the bike he has. he listened.

cut back on food shopping. buy family packs of meal, and pasta when its 89cents a box(americas choice) you'll save tons of money

I have been doing this for the past 2 years and it s*cks. It really s*cks when you get used to it and start feeling really guilty when you eat out and the check is $30.
It'll all be worth it though!!!

I know...I have a second job thats paying exclusively for the wedding so we can still live normally on our regular salaries.

FH tried that with me, and I still manage to be the same way I am... but I am starting to feel guilty and cut back a lot...

Same here, we've cut down the cable tv package, cell plans and not so much dining out. We still manage to keep a bottle of something in the house though..

Seriously the harder we try to save i feel like more and more sh*t hits the fan. All summer long we were frugal, and there is still nothing in the bank as there is just allllllways something that needs a payment!!!

UUGHHHHhhhh.. sorry!

I am waiting for FH to give me that lecture. I actually just took on another position at work ( I am a teacher) just to make extra money so that I don't have to cut back!!! FH just laughs at me!
