FH just totally shocked me!!

We had a conversation yesterday about how much we both want a house, but with paying for this wedding, it's not going to happen for at least another year. He was saying how he would much rather have a house than a four hour party, which I can totally understand, but we've discussed this ad nauseum and we made the joint decision to have the wedding and save for a house afterwards. We set a budget (which he has since doubled), and we're trying to pay things off a little each month instead of the schedules we've been given. Anyway, I was a little saddened by the conversation.

Today, I came home from work and he told me had a present for me. He said it's not a tangible present, but he wanted me to know that the wedding is important to him, too, and he wants it to be the wedding of both of our dreams. So, to prove that, he got us private dance lessons next Friday night at Arthur Murray so that he doesn't look foolish trying to dance with me at our wedding. The boy has got NO rythym and can only sway back and forth to slow dance and has to be really drunk to even attempt to do any other kind of dancing.

I was so surprised because it's not something I ever thought he'd do, and it was so sweet of him to plan it. It made me cry.

I knew there was a reason I'm marrying him!

FH and I have had a few 'tiffs' where I was upset that he didn't really care about the wedding. ( I know...silly, but that's me sometimes)

He designed our envelopes as a surprise to me, so I know how you feel!

That is SO SO SO sweet - isnt it the greatest feeling when your FH/DH does the sweetest thing that you never ever expected him to do??

It really is. I guess after you're with someone for a while, you just both naturally tend to take one another for granted. But when one of us does something like this, it just sort of reminds us both why we're together in the first place - because we love each other and want us both to be happy.
