FH not confirmed

You can tell Im a newbie...I'm throwing silly questions at you guys...

I am catholic...confirmed etc. but my FH isnt. We thought about him taking class from now but its a lot to ask of him. Every week class and he works late to begin with.

Has anyone been in the situation and have any ideas for us? I heard of someone getting married by a deacon.

Thanks for the help!

Welcome! Do you have/want to get married in a catholic church?

Yes, I am hoping to.

to be honest, I'm not very religious its more along traditions sake. silly but what I always pictured.

FH is baptized but did not receive communion or confirmation.

If you want a full catholic mass your FH may have to finish out his sacraments. Some churches will let you sign a paper saying that you will raise your kids catholic and then you can have a mass (ours will let us do this - FH is not catholic-but he wanted to take the classes and convert).

Or you can have a just a ceremony in the church in which case a deacon will marry you (not a priest) and your FH doesn't have to do anything else.

Either way you will have to do Pre-Cana.
