this past weekend, FH asked me to explain what a 2011 bride said about her November wedding at Crest Hollow. To summarize, she had her ceremony, cockail hour and receptiom in the same room. I told FH that Crest Hollow arranged it like this since she was having everything in one place, and that they changed the decor for her reception. He kept demanding that we call our BM to make sure we don't have our cocktail hour in the same room as the reception, I said they won't be able to give us any info. now FH is in a tizzy about it. He's also upset that we decided to cancel the outdoor cocktail hour because 'that was the biggest draw to the place.' Bleh...it's prob too late now to change back

Re: FH now stressing out about cocktail hour location
I saw that review. I would call the venue. When we went to visit the venue when we were shopping around, they told us cocktail would be in a different room. However, it was another reception room. HTH

Re: FH now stressing out about cocktail hour location
Her cocktail hour and reception were in the same room. Her ceremony was in between and that was in a different room I believe. If you are having ceremony then cocktail hour and then reception the ceremony and cocktail hour can't be in the same room and the cocktail hour and the reception can't be in the same room. They need time to switch the rooms. You can have the ceremony and the reception in the same room.
Who. Ares if it is in the same room. It will be set up completely differently and the guests will never realize it's the same room

yeah I told him it won't be like that for us since there's nothing we're doing in between CH and the reception, but he's getting stressed about it. Sigh

I would defintely say call Crest Hollow and speak to you BM to just put his mind at ease. I really doubt they will do it in the same room. Is it too late to get the outside cocktail hour?

Re: FH now stressing out about cocktail hour location
We've already called the poor woman a bunch of times this week. I was upset about this until Mara eased my nerves, now she's doing the same on FH's behalf lol
There's no logistical way they can have both in same room, but if it was possible, at this point I don't care

Re: FH now stressing out about cocktail hour location
Is sharon your BM? My only concern with this place is the amount of events/weddings they can have at one time :( My wedding is a day time wedding and I will be pretty upset if I see one damn tennis player lmaoooo I really hope it does not take away from my wedding.

Re: FH now stressing out about cocktail hour location
I use to work in catering and they would NEVER EVER EVER say ok everyone out... Sit outside in the halls and wait for us to flip the room.
Especially Cresthollow. They are obsessed with making sure the brides do now see each other!

Re: FH now stressing out about cocktail hour location
Honestly, I think it would be cool if they had a tournament going on during my wedding.
