I hear you! FH is a huge procrastinator, I've been asking him for months to do 3 simple things, tuxes, favors and passport.

Re: FH rant
I'm ok that he's not into it... i never expected him to be... all i ask of him is that he get a list from his dad... and make sure he has a handle on his mother

FH has still not taken the GMs to do the tuxes... the only reason FH's was already taken care of is because I dragged him there when my mom took my father to get measured.
He finally spoke to FMIL about the rehersal dinner this past weekend.
He still doesn't have any clue as to where his birth certificate is, nor has he ordered a new one.
He hasn't taken the time do do the music with me yet.
He hasn't even started looking for GMs gifts.
I have done EVERYTHING so far, and I am quite annoyed. I do understand he has a lot going on at the moment, but its **** like this that makes me insane.

Mostly all of the time............FH just tells me 'whatever you want dear'
I told him he's in charge of the honeymoon though. Which he's fine with because he normally books all of our vacations.

there are a few things that are their responsibility... meanwhile you probably took care of everything else... i can totally understand you being annoyed at him...
i just expect him not to handle anything, just like with everything else in our lives... so i fully understand that I will have to take care of most of the stuff thats his responsibility

Re: FH rant
There are certain things (not much), that I have put him in charge of taking care of.....
And the fact that I feel like I have to nag him to death to get them done, is not boding well.
He is very busy with work-related things, so again, I understand the forgetting, and the procrastination- but at the same time it is still pretty damn aggravating.

Re: FH rant
I was getting that feeling and I guess FH noticed it. The other day he said he wanted to make sure that I know that the wedding is very important to him. He says sometimes it may seem like he´s not into it but that is not the case. A basic rundown of major points is:
While I stress about how everything will look and getting all the details right, Hes stresses about how we will be paying. Basically just going over the numbers to make sure we are on track and that we are saving money. He works for himself so there is no steady paycheck but business has been good so that´s a big plus!!
While it is for both of us, he feels the day should be more about me. He thinks that the details should be things that i like.
He gets bored very easily especially on the computer (we have to do everything online). I on the other hand love to search for info.
He would rather I narrow it down a bit (since i´m into that kinda stuff) and then he can help make the final decision from the finalists.
he doesn´t sweat the small stuff (and doesn´t get the reason for some of them). He feels its better to avoid disagrements over things he considers unnecesary and for me to just decide. To him the important thing is not the Wedding - that is basically just the party. The important thing is the marriage, that we will be sènding the rest of our lives together. (i thought that was really sweet!!)
But he does like that I let him know about stuff and try to keep him involved.

Re: FH rant
I hear you on this one! I was ok with FH not participating much before because that meant that I got everything that I wanted and did everything my way but now that we are down to the last 2 months, I really need help. My family is out of state so its not like I have my mom here to run errands for me and to help. It is almost impossible to do it all myself and he does NOTHING! I am absolutely exhausted and he doesn't even offer to help me...Grrrr

LOL Having read your reply and seeing that you have described a very similar situation, I am kinda laughing at this. The thing that set off this particular rant, was the fact that I was planning on ordering my slip today, and was mentioning it to FH- who was not paying attention to me in the least... I have been waiting to order it for a few weeks now, and I found it online, but not the way I wanted it (which is what I was mentioning) and his lack of interest brought up all of the other annoyances I felt, and well- here we are...

Re: FH rant
I just had this same argument with FH last night and again this morning. I finally couldn't take it any more and I emailed him a list of 7 things that need to get taken care of between now and next week and asked him what ones he wanted to handle.
His response - to ignore me! I called and asked if he got the email and he said 'yes - we'll get it done' I was so frustrated I had get off the phone with him.
I wish we had a smoke coming out of your ears icon!

Ya exactly...right about now I so wish that i was marrying a girl. Can you imagine if you had another responsible girl to take half of your wedding problems. Weddings would be a breaze! It's the men that make it such a problem!

Re: FH rant
I'm sorry girls that your FH seems less than involved. My manager (male) who got married a while ago said that his wife did most of the things for the wedding but to include him, she put him in charge of the honeymoon and dj - things that would be fun for him and get him interested. It made him feel included and made her happy that he was part of it. Most girls just want to take care of a lot details (at least I do) but I know that whatever I need taken care of, FH will do, no questions asked. I would suggest just giving him things that he would enjoy and then it will take some things off your plate which will make you happy and he'll feel useful and enjoy his tasks. JMHO.

Re: FH rant
Give him a list of stuff to do. FH's job for a while was making phone calls. Now he's been helping with DIY stuff he can't screw up. Although he did impress me last night with the iron-on rhinestone thing...

HAHA I tell FH all the time 'I'm gonna punch you in the face' it's something I picked up a long time but I heard someone say once (a friend) 'she's so violent' so I've tried to shake the habit, unsuccessfully of course!
