I just had this same argument with FH last night and again this morning. I finally couldn't take it any more and I emailed him a list of 7 things that need to get taken care of between now and next week and asked him what ones he wanted to handle.

His response - to ignore me! I called and asked if he got the email and he said 'yes - we'll get it done' I was so frustrated I had get off the phone with him.

I wish we had a smoke coming out of your ears icon!

I had emailed FH too... and when I asked if he got the email, he said: 'yes, but I didn't bother reading it'.

I wanted to punch him in the face

HAHA I tell FH all the time 'I'm gonna punch you in the face' it's something I picked up a long time but I heard someone say once (a friend) 'she's so violent' so I've tried to shake the habit, unsuccessfully of course!

Yeah, I've been trying to shake the habit of saying certain phrases, like that one, but unsuccessfully as well...

Be careful what you wish for!

My Best Friend has a Groomzilla on her hands!

I like that FH is basically letting me do what I want - he was concerned with the RH and the band - I hope he'll help with DIY.

There's always bribery!
Just tell him he won't get any until he helps you with x,y and z!

I'm okay with him not being too involved because I have fun planning the stuff myself, and just telling him later.

HOWEVER, I do get annoyed when I am telling him what I am doing and I feel like he's not paying enough attention to what I'm saying.

Yeah, that whole not paying attention part bugs the hell out of me.

Re: FH rant

For me it's not that he's not involved. He helped pick the invitations, was involved in looking at RH and florists. It's that he's not doing the things that I really can't do. Such as getting the tuxes or getting his pasport. Even the favors he his to do, we are writing a comic book of our story then having a friend illustrate it. I wrote a script months ago. I wanted him to just put in in comic book form, he held onto it for 2 month then when I asked him to do it for the 1,000th time he said he didn't like the script, which was fine as long as he wrote something else. That was probably 2 months ago and still no script. It just gets frustrating.

Re: FH rant

My FH says everytime I ask him something wedding related, 'Let's just go to Las Vegas and get married!!'

It's getting really annoying already...hahah

FH doesn't really care much either, but I actually kind of like that better because I have my ideas and he just lets me run with it instead of fighting me on everything I want to do. He cares about the important stuff but I don't expect him to get involved in dress colors, flowers, packaging for favors, etc. That's the fun stuff for me to do with my Mom and sister

I hear you! FH is a huge procrastinator, I've been asking him for months to do 3 simple things, tuxes, favors and passport.

LOL!! me too! i gave FH three fairly simple tasks. I don't think it is that he doesn't care, he just is L-A-Z-Y!!
We are like ying and yang that way. I am a worry wart and aplanner and he is extremely laid back. He finally did get his pasport. i was about to have a heatattack!

Re: FH rant

I just mentioned it in another thread- but ...

FH asked me yesterday about what's going on with our invitations.

I had to laugh though, I mean, they arrived back in May!!!!

Yes, I am looking up everything. When I come up with an idea, then he will come up with an opinion. Its sometimes quite frustrating!

LADIES! We really need to play this issue to our advantage. No need to vent or get annoyed. How many of us really want these overgrown little boys BUGGING us while we are trying to get things done. I say GOOD! I'm glad their not involved. Who needs help from someone who could care less. Or can't say anything when I ask a question. When I bring home a reciept of $1000.00 for goods I spent on OUR WEDDING.........just continue to keep you mouth shut & fork over $500.00. Than be happy I'm not charging you a shopping fee.
