We met on Singlesnet- we were both in our 40's

We talked for 2 weeks on the phone before we met so I knew I liked him beforehand.

we met in port jeff... i was 15, he was 17.

nothing!! lol. we didn't even speak so i really didn't even give him a second thought lol.

he's 100% different from them... every guy i dated in the past was the exact same and when i finally realized that maybe i need to date someone completely different, there fh was... not only that, but he was my best friend in the entire world and we've just always had that friendship before anything else.

Because he treats me like gold, he is constantly looking out for me, trying his hardest to make me happy...he treats me as his equal, he is kind, caring....GOOD in every sense of the word. He's just a really good, solid man...nobody else I dated had any of these qualities (which I guess is really pathetic but at least I finally bagged a good one!)

**Funny storry....he dated his ex before me for like 9 years (since they were 11 years old)...I actually played soccer with her and she would talk about 'Marcus' but I never met him....fast forward to 2003 when I met him at college...& he asked if I knew anyone from his home town...I said, 'Just one girl, you prob don't know her' Turns out, it was the same girl & they had been toegether for like 8 years at that point!! We got along when she came to see him at college while FH & me were just friends.
ETA: We haven't spoken to her since they broke up & we got together...that same night Valentine's Day 2005!

1) Where did you and FH meet, and how old were you both? I've known him since I was about 14 and he was dating a friend of mine! They have long since broke up, in fact she just got married in September. We hadn't seen each other for a few years while we both were away at school and then I moved in with a friend of his so we started hanging out as friends for a long time.

2) What was the first thought that went through your head when you met? Wow, he's tall. 6'8'.

5) How did he ask you out? He officially asked me out after we drove up to New Paltz together for a friend's graduation.

19) How did he propose? It was Thanksgiving Eve and also my birthday's eve. I was leaving work early for a week long vacation in Orlando. When I got home there were rose petals leading me from the front door to our apartment. At the end of the trail there was Dan on one knee with a dozen red roses, shaking like a leaf he was so nervous. LOL! It was so cute. Little did I know, EVERYONE knew. He even asked my father's permission the night before!

ETA: I forgot to answer this one! LOL! I can just be myself around him, I always feel comfortable, I trust him, he makes me laugh, and he's such a good guy. Best of all, he puts up with me.

We met outside the library at St. John's University..I was 19 and FH was 20 (FH is now 26 and I will be 25 on Monday!! ).

We were hanging out with some friends one night in my car. I needed to get out of the car for some air and he said he did too. We went for a walk around the block and that's when he asked me to be his girlfriend.

I guess Red Zone was our first date.

I met him in January or February 2004 (can't remember!) and we were a couple by April 2004.

Of course! Back in the crazy days of college...

The second I met him!!! After I met him I literally told one of my best friends that I met the hottest guy in the world. He really had an impact on me. My friend still brings it up to me!!

Umm..FH plays electric guitar and sometimes when we're hanging out he wants to play for a long time. It just gets on my nerves sometimes because it can be really loud.

I see FH and I with a family of four. FH as a successful organizational consultant and I as either a stay at home mom (depends on how old the kids are) OR successful HR professional.

On a cruise we went on in June in our room. He flipped off the bed onto the floor, landed on his knees, and pretended to hurt himself. I told him to stop fooling around because he could get hurt. I turned away for about 10 seconds and when I turned back he was on one knee with the ring box in his hand! He then proceeded to say nice things which I can't remember (I was in shock!) and asked me to marry him!

Because he truly cares about me and is extremely loving. He always wants to protect me and keep me safe. He makes me laugh all the time and we have so much fun together. I can lean on him during tough times and he is there to help me through. I completely trust him and he has my whole heart. And lastly...his hugs are THE BEST!!!!!!!! No one I ever dated even comes close to how great FH is!

I met FH when I was 17 through a mutual friend. I went to HS with Mike and FH and Mike have been friends since they were like 6 or 7. FH was 18; we're a year apart.

I honestly don't remember. I was looking for the Indian guy with spikey hair; so I guess that was what was going through my mind.
