FH TUX--does he have to match me?

FH TUX--does he have to match me?

ok..need help...

My dress is ivory with black at the top (picture below of champagne top..just picture it black!)

I am carrying either rust colored flowers or purple calla lilles--also picture below

Girls are wearing all black dresses and carrying black magic roses
Guys are wearing black pin striped suit, black shirt and rust colored tie.

FH really wants to wear rust colored tie but the girl at the place (Wedding world!!) told him he should match me and wear ivory tie so he stands out. His comment 'I am the groom. Everyone knows who i am. I dont need to stand out!' Well i laughed and girl got annoyed but still insisted he should wear ivory tie.

Even if that is correct, if the groom wants a different color then let him look like a fool and do it!! (having a lot of problems with wedding world can you tell!?!?)

If he wears rust would that look weird? I told him its up to him whatever color he wants. I dont care

Personally, I think that the groom should match the bride, and not the bridal party.

Personally, I don't think he needs to match you for everything to looks perfect.

I think its an overall look that matters and the rules help those who can't see the whole picture and need advice.

I think he should match the bride. If he really wants to wear that tie (same as bridal party) then let him. Just don't be mad if you don't like pictures.

usually the groom match the bride but you can change it up if you want, your the bride and he's the groom it's your day and you too can do whatever you want.

I definitely dont think he should match you, I dont think he should wear the same as the GMs but he should blend with you in a sense.

DH wore a platinum tie and the GMs wore dark grey, silver and white ties. I wore white.

When we went for the tuxes, we were told that the groom matches the bride. MY FH is wearing an ivory vest, tie, and shirt to match my ivory dress.

I would do whatever makes your FH happy and comfortable. If he wants to wear a rust colored tie, then go for it. Maybe he can wear an ivory and rust vest or something to coordinate with you and the rust color he prefers.
