FH VENT

FH VENT

FH had his friends bachelor party yesterday - they went to a strip club in the city which is totally fine , as long as he doesnt get a lap dance ( because I think that is disrespectful) , which he didn't, but he bought a lap dance for his 2 friends which was $80 ( 40 bucks each)!!!! Before he left yesterday he was complaining how he has no money - which is true , we are both broke because of all our wedding expenses. I am so annoyed with him - that $80 could be part of someones tip Am I wrong for feeling this way??

No I would be mad too. Why did he do that?? I hate those places. I think they are so wrong and gross. I agree with you.

Well, JMO, I would expect that FH would spend money at his bachelor party so long as it wasn't in excess. I wouldn't classify $80 as excessive. After all the GM are paying for most of the party so I wouldn't be mad if FH felt like he wanted to pay for something.

I do understand that money is tight right now and we all feel stressed out before our weddings. But I would cut my FH some slack since it is his one and only bachelor party

I would definitely be annoyed by this. Especially if money is tight and that's where it got spent. Plus, why do/did the two friends need lap dances? It's not their 'last night out'.

ETA: I thought it was your FH's bachelor party. I would still be annoyed since money is tight and like someone else posted, I would feel better if he bought a round of drinks before spending it on lap dances.

Sorry. Hopefully they will pay him back (with money not lap dances) when he has his bachelor party.

I'd be pissed also if my FH THREW away $80 on something so useless, especially if we could used it on something for ourselves.

FH and I are tight on money right now as well as we get closer to the wedding. If FH went to a bachelor part and spent $80 +, I'd be fine with it since I'd xpect it. But I find $80 on lap dances a compelte watse as well! Buy them a round of drinks but lap dances. Cmon now!

It wasn't his bachelor party - it was his friends! Ughh - men have different motives when they have bachelor parties , girls are so different! I just dont see the point of going to strip clubs, but that is just my opinion.

This was his friends bachelor party that he spent 80 bucks at and didnt get a lap dance? I truthfully dont see an issue. It was HIS FRIENDS bachelor party, that is what they wanted to do so be it. I understand that money is tight but when you go to bachelor party you throw a party for the groom to be-period. 80 is not alot to spend at all. Yes it could be someones tip but still.
Im sorry I just dont think there is a reason to be upset with him

I agree with Peg, you should be honored/touched that he is 100% honest with you. Boys don't always understand the things we do (mani/pedis, shoe collection, coach bags) they all cost $$$ but they let us do it. Try to take another veiw of it: a bach party costs money, that is just a fact, it shouldn't matter where the money went, unless he spent way more than he was supposed to. But remember, he was honest JMHO

He was NOT honest!

I'd be more concerned about his lying to you about having no money than his spending $80 on lap dances... if he lied about the money, what else is he lying about? Are you sure he did not get a lap dance for himself?

Personally, I don't care what my FH does for his Bachelor party - He is more concerned about it than I am!

There is no need for that

I agree.. I think that sometimes we are put in situations where we feel obligated to spend money that we dont have. There are many times i go out with my gf's for their bdays or etc.. and i end up buying them drinks or etc.. it happens. Your FH may not have wanted to spend that he may have felt that he should or didnt want to seem cheap.

anyway, i do understand how you feel though, its hard cutting corners and having no money and then to see $80.00 get flushed donw the ti=oilet .. esp on a lap dance.

I am with you Gina....
I don't see where lying may have occured and I feel, that one post is not very nice.
I am not about drama but things that are not considerate of a fellow bride's feelings should not be posted.
