FH wants to move the date - Updated Page 2

Last night as I was showing FH wedding stuff, he asked if we can move the date up. We have most of our major vendors booked.

*Part of the reason we were waiting soo long was so I would have time to convert, now FH suggested an interfaith officiant.

I haven't contacted my hall to even see if this is possible yet, b/c I don't know when we would move it to. My cousin is getting married early Jan 08 in Vegas. So the latest we can move it to is October. Which is about 6months away.

Am I crazy for humoring him & his suggestion? I know people have planned entire wedddings in 6 months, but I had an issue long story short ... I don't have a dress yet But I picked CP's, decor, BM's dresses, favors, music.

What would you do if you were me at this point in planning?

aww thanks Mel. I'm sure he'll agree, it's just when we're plannign the wedding, it's taking forever,

I know all about it! Right now there's not much wedding planning for me to do either.

Thats a tough one! Look into it and see how much it will cost you to move it and if you can even keep the same vendors. If it is going to be a huge hassel- why do it? But if it is what you both really want, then im sure you guys can make it work. Good Luck!!

It is DEFINATELY possible to plan your wedding in a few months, however Im not sure I would want to switch things if I had already booked vendors.

I guess if they are all o.k. with it then yeah, but the odds of all your vendors having a date (even sooner than the one you had planned) free is very slim.

its possible to plan a wedding in 6 months just make sure your vendors are available the date you are considering!

My MOH got engaged last month and has her entire wedding done! and its on Nov 17, 2007 it can be done!

hey girls, just a lil update:

FH & I are keeping our 6*7*08 date for a few different reasons:

1. We couldn't have our 2 wk honeymoon (b/c of vacation limitations w/ my company)

2. I could hav a destination Bachlorette Party for the same reason

3. My cousin is getting married in January & even tho FH & I were engaged 10 months before her, it would look bad that we move our date to 4 months before her destination wedding

So I am an 08er
