FH wants to start planning the HM!!!!!!!!! Can you girls help us??
We cant spend a fortune and would like to go to the bahamas or hawaii or someplace like that. can you girls fm me or post where you are going, what island, how long and how much?? - And any other things I should know TIA!!!!

Heads up, hawaii is a very expensive place. Almost everything but the pineapples are imported. If your looking for something cheap, I would check puerto rico, or key west.

Because we knew that we would be spending a bunch of money on lodging, we bought a timeshare resale. We financed it and are paying monthly payments spead out over a couple of years. We will have the timeshare for life.
So with that we are going to Cabo San Lucas for a week and driving up the California coast LA-SF for a week. We have a Hilton Grand Vacations timeshare so we were able to convert some points into Hilton Honors. We are staying in Santa Monica, Monterrey, Napa and San Fran with those points. Aifare for the whole thing was $800 each, rental car is about $250.
I would suggest staying away from Hawaii if you are on a budget. You can also put in a search for vacation rental properties in google. These are usually private owners who want to rent out their own vacation homes or investment properties. We did that once in Rosarita, Mexico and wound up in a beautiful condo complex for inexpensive.

Why don't you look into DR or all-inclusive in the Riviera Maya or even Jamaica. That way you're not too far from home and you can afford to have a very luxurious honeymoon for not too much money.

We are doing a 7 night Royal Caribbean cruise.. it's leaving out of Puerto Rico and going to the islands of Aruba, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Curacao. We are also flying into Puerto Rico 3 days earlier (which you can skip) and the total for airfare, hotel in PR, and the 7 day cruise is $4300 for both of us..

I have to 2nd the warning about Hawaii. My sister spend a lot of money on her HM..and then spent a FORTUNE while she was there. Talk to others who have been there about how muhc $$ they spent while thre.

wow that sounds awsome too!! Im not 100% sure I want to do a cruise.. ive never been on one but fh has a few times and loves it. - Its also going to be in february does that affect the price at all ? ( cheaper or more $$? )

Hey I plan on going to Hawaii for my HM...Maui.... it's not that bad hotel and airfare...to be exact I couldn't tell you....its the dining and stuff like that thats soo much.... or so I've been told... but I'm not going to penny pinch on the HM....rite?

Let me rephrase my words. Puerto Rico is 'cheaper' than hawaii. Ive been to puerto rico and plenty of other carribean islands to know you get more for your money in PR. Plus it is the hub for all other carribean islands. I plan to stay there for a week and then island hop for another week. As for key west, it is peaceful and serene. I am doing a cruz as well...and basically...it is a 7 day cruise leaving out from San Juan P.R...then traveling to the carribbean stopping at aruba, barbadous,dominica,st.thomas and st.james for about a little less then $3,000.00 - all inclusive for 2 people. traveling during high peak season!!!!
I could not do that alone just going to Aruba....(that was my preference!!!!). THe hotel prices for the island was insane. Plus, I wanted to make it special since you only get 1 hm and we are really strapped for cash!!!
Aoohh...don't do Hawaii...
You might also want to check the mexican riviera...

I've never been on a cruise either but I've heard that they are awesome! I don't know how the price would change for February.. sorry.

We are going to an all inclusive in Jamaica for 6 nights for just about $3000. We also had to make our HM short cause I have to get back to school. Its Couples Ocho Rios if you are interested. I booked through Dawn at Cruise One, she is a vendor on here.

We are doing Bahama's It is all inclusive from Sunday Dec 5th to Monday Dec 13th... food, drinks, activities, and HM suite all included. With airfare on US Air, grand total for the two of us = $3K This is at the Breeze's Bahama's

We are going to sandles and staying in the new resort in St. Lucia the Grand St. Lucia. Then we are flying to Puerto Rico for a night and leaving on a Royal Carribean Cruise. It goes to Aruba, St. Thomas, St. Martin and Caracao. For both of us- It is costly $6200 and that is for a 2 week all inclusive honeymoon!! And we are staying in a beautiful room in St. Lucia and on the cruise we have a room with a balcony
