we got yesterday. We went to the bridal expo at the Marriott and as we were walking around I saw something similar to what I wanted for a centerpiece.
It was some branches with crystals and candles. It was pretty huge. FH asked how much he said $95 and he said we couldn't keep the vase.
I have to be honest I was a little shocked too.
But to give you an idea of what we are looking for here it is.
Where can we get something like this but inexpensive? Or should we think of something else as a centerpiece?

you can totally re-create that yourself if you just go to michaels or another craft store. you can possibly buy the stuff you need for your centerpieces and ask the florist or someone at the hall to set it up for you that way you do not have to do this yourself. This centerpiece is totally do-able and $95 is a lot of money for that in my opinion. Once you say wedding to a vendor the price goes up astronomically because they know you are willing to pay for the convenience...shop around :) you'll get a better price
just got back from the flower district. i think i might make them. everything was sooooooooo inexpensive. they had everything thats needed to make this look. i still cant believe it

all you need is curly willow or willow and a vase, some lightweight votive holders, maybe crystals and whallah! no it's not hard to make but it will get $$ either way.
the ones i'm looking at aren't in a vase. they're going to have a flower base so i really don't mind paying $95 each especially since low CP's are averaging around $80-$85

09er crashing. Some florists will let you give them glassware to use and that can cut down the cost. Ikea has amazing deals on vases. I got mine for like $1.50 each. They were charging $10 at the florist.

Supposedly the braches are pricey. One florist (and I forget which one) quoted me $250 for a cp...and it was nothing more than the branches in a vase

THAT IS CRAZY!!! I am not a flower girl. If it was up to me I would just have candles as a CP but the FH doesnt
