Fh's Aunt just passed away

I am so sad, she has been in the hospital for the past 3 months with lung cancer. I wished she could've seen us get married. And I found out my Bridal Shower is on Sunday, oh no!!!!!

i'm so sorry. My fh's aunt passed away about 2-3 weeks before my shower; my mom had just sent the invites and by the time one got to her house she had died... i felt awful because it was pretty sudden even though she had been having problems with seizures.

Out of all his aunts, she was the sweetest to me and she was so excited to see us get married, so excited that I would get fh to go visit them more because he really doesn't go enough and they feel like he is their only link to their brother (fh's dad) who died 3 years ago.

so I know how you feel, I was really sad too.

also, like i said before... my bridal shower was about 2 weeks after her funeral and her other sister was there and she gave me a gift from fh's aunt's husband signed 'love uncle danny' and I just lost it in front of everyone.... that he sent me a gift even though he was mourning his wife. It was really sweet and nice. It won't put a damper on your shower, but maybe just mention something - Like I got up and said this is from aunt carmen, who will always be in our hearts.... it really meant a lot to her sisters.

sigh. I'm so sad just thinking about this again.

Awwww I'm so sorry! Unfortunately I know too many people with lung cancer. it's a horrible thing.

Thank you, and thanks every1! I'm sorry to hear your story as well It's very sad because she lived downstairs from us. She was so great! She was the first one I met from FH's family when we first started dating. And she used to tease me all the time saying I know what is going on upstairs when my ceiling fan starts to shake.

So sorry for your loss.
