is coming up (thursday through sunday). is it wrong that I told him i didnt want to speak to him until he was home on sunday (i will be away for work from thursday til tuesday)?? when i said that to him last night he was annoyed and said that is not acceptable. he is going away with 24 friends - they will be drunken messes and i really dont want to deal with that while i am away for work.
it is not a trust thing (trust as in cheating)...it is more not wanting to loose sleep bc i didnt hear from him one night and i stay up wondering that he is hurt or something but the reality is he passed out drunk. (this happened last time i was away for work in January - he went out with friends and said he would call when he got home....didnt hear from him til 8am! needless to say i was calling his cell and the house phone allllllll night and i slept for maybe 20 minutes that night and had to function at work the next day....he said he passed out drunk at home and didnt hear the phones.)

I would speak to him, but I understand what you're saying! A few months ago FH called me super wasted at 3:00 AM in Vegas....he said he'd call me when he got back to the room....I didn't hear from him again until 1:00 PM...I was a wreck and obviously furious (and relieved) when I finally did hear from him. But in the end, I think maybe a daytime chat with your FH would be ok

ITA, maybe a text message instead of a call?
that would make me sleep better for sure

Re: FH's bachelor party - to speak to him or not
i guess you guys are right. its not that i dont want to speak to him while he is drunk, its him saying he will call me back later and not calling that i want to avoid. i will be working literally from 8am through 9pm friday, saturday, sunday and monday. lunches and dinners are all company organized so not much free time there. i can obvi make a call on a bathroom break or something but i wont be able to have a real convo til 9pm which is when he will be a drunken mess and say he will call me back and wont. that is what i want to avoid...the sleepless nights are horrible!!!! i guess its the mom in me that needs to know everyone is home safe and sound before i can go to sleep.

I totally understand where you're coming from. My fiance just had his b party over the weekend and I spoke to him during the day/early evening but just asked him not to call me late at night...i really get annoyed with late night drunken calls. It worked fine :) you have to do what works best for you. I personally would have been fine with not talking to him the whole time (he should be hanging with his friends and having fun-not on the phone)...texting is great also!

Actually I partially agree with you, My FI gets that way when he goes out with his friends too, then I have to sit there and worry about him all night so I know what you mean. I would want a call/text when he got there , and before he went out for the night, & then when he is leaving to come home. Definitly would not want the drunken late night call though, when you have to be up and functioning early in the morning!
