FH's bday in April... Anyone ever do a tour of the wineries on the East End? Please help.. need ideas!

Ok. so here it is.. I am trying to do something really special for FH's bday, cause this year has been kinda tough for me financially and I want to say ThankYou and Happy Birthday all at once. He has been such a source of support, both emotionally and financially.. and I really want to let him know how much it has meant to me.

We are both fans of wine, and are still novices when it comes to knowing what is what. I thought a good idea would be to go out east to the wineries, tour a few.. and sign up for a class at one of them. Any ideas or suggestions? Is this a good idea.. or is it a bust? Has anyone ever done this??? Help, Please

Kiddo...I don't have any info for you but I wanted to say this sounds like a great idea. I'm sure he'll love it!

I went on a bus tour of the wineries.. but it was through an organization that I am part of. Raphael Winery does a really nice tour, they will show you how they harvest the grapes, and all the steps of making the wine and then will give you a tasting. I don't know how much it is because I did it through the group.

Also I was thinking, is he a sports fan? Madison Square Garden does a really cool behind the scenes tour.
