FH has a single brother who's a rude, cold and only speaks to people he likes (he's no kid, he's 40). He hardly says hello to me and never said congrats when we got engaged. We invited him to our E-party which was two weeks ago. He left us a phone message a week or so before the party that he probably can't make it cause he may be going on vacation (yea right). So he never came to the party. Yesterday, FH sees his brother unexpectedly at the mall and asks how his trip was, the brother said 'I didn't go away, I was playing racquetball that night'. Give me a break! What an a$#hole! (No he's not in our bridal party). He pulled this for our e-party, so he may not even show for the wedding (no loss).

I'm sorry your FH brother acts so insincerely! That is rude. He is probably jealous. He seems like a miserable person from what you have said.

FH doesn't complain, but I can tell he felt bad about that the other day. His brother isn't even smart enough to lie. Our wedding is on labor day weekend next year, so maybe he's already making plans to go away.

FH's sister did the same thing to us. FH didnt ask her to be in the bridal party, because she is one of those people who would say no just to get one up on you. Well, then she had a breakdown before our eparty about not being in the bridal party. So, we decided to be the bigger people and ask her to be in the bridal party. She said no, so we asked her is she was coming to the eparty in a week, she said 'I dont know, when is it?' So, she doesnt come, fine. Then she asks us to send her wedding invite addressed to her and her boyfriend, who we are separately good friends with. So, she RSVPed No to the wedding for both of them and will be the only immediate family member not at the wedding. What a Hater!!!!!!

You should tell him in advance, 'Just so you know, we'll be counting you as a 'no' for the wedding, but you're more than welcome to show up that day'. Something like that so he knows you know you can't count on him and that it really doesn't matter to you guys.
What a miserable person. You should feel sorry for him. You guys are lucky to have each other!

What's up with that? Maybe he's jealous that his brother has a life and he dosen't so he can't handle it. You know I think it's better if he is such an @ss to be thankful he didn't come. The only one I feel bad for is FH. That's his brother! Sorry to hear it Joyce!
