FH's Father Passed Away yesterday............

You may not have seen me much on this board since I've been on the newlywed side for a year, but I do linger over here still. I just want you to know that you are in my thoughts. My FIL passed away 2 months after I was married - when he was diagnosed as terminal we moved our wedding date up and threw it all together in 6 weeks, and thankfully he was able to see us married. I know this will be a very difficult time for you guys - my husband changed a lot since his dad died, and I just support him in any way i know how. He'll really appreciate you during these times, even if he doesn't show it - just know that he does.

Be strong, and know that your FFIL would want you both to be happy on your wedding day. Good luck to you.

t is so different FH and me. I was so much different than he is when I lost my Mother. I was hysterically crying all over the place. FH is more quiet, and I never know what he's quite thinking.

Yesterday he finally cried when we were at the Funeral Home, making arrangements. I was then able to hold him and comfort him like I know how. I guess him letting go makes me feel more helpful.

I read all these posts over and over again. ALL your support makes me feel better. THank you again

FH just came home from running some errands for the Funeral. He seems OK at the moment. I told him once again how much I love him.
Also he received some cards from his coworkers and I think that lifted his spirits a bit.

Liz the best thing to do is just be there for him. When he is ready to talk he will. Just be there for him because I am sure he needs you more now then he has ever needed you.

Liz. I have no words to say but I am so so sorry. How much do you have to go through. Its not fair. I am so sorry for Len. I wish there was something I could do. If there is anything you need please let me know. I am sending you a big hug and my shoulder. I will say a prayer for you and Len tonight.
