I feel so bad. We were planning to go visit her this summer and make arrangements for her to come to the wedding in NY. I feel really bad b/c he said like 2 months ago that all he wanted was to see both of his grandmothers at his wedding and have his whole fam together. Hmmm..
We had a long discussion weeks ago about how important family is and how he really wanted me to meet her. I wish I could do something really nice for his fam/ mom in memory of his g-ma. Any suggestions?

Re: FH's Gradma passed away...
im so sorry. my condolences.
You could have something special said during ceremony or written in program, pics of her at reception or memorial candle and memorial poem, or song played for her.....something like that
these are ways to honor her at ur wedding down the road bc im not sure of ideas for what you can do for/give to the fam now other than flowers and a card expressing your sympathy. but im sure theyd appreciate any of these things.

Re: FH's Gradma passed away...
just be there for him go with him to anything he needs to go to maybe send typical flowers/food baskets to his parent(s) do not bring this up to him yet but at the wedding u can do a memory thing - announcement, candle, picture frame, a charm attached to his tie- what ever ur taste is but for now i'd just be extra attentive, dont pressure him to talk unless he is a talker. people respond to these things differently-he may even be mean to you while grieving- just continue to be nice, patient, quiet ect. and do not point out to him that he just said he wanted grandma to be there at the wedding. (unless u did already- oops)
sorry to hear : (

Omg, that's terrible!!!!! I am so sorry for your FH and his family.
I know it's not what he meant, but she will be there on your wedding day, smiling down. He can wear a pin on his lapel, a pair of angel wings to honor her.

I am so sorry!!! Just remember he will still have his whole family there, only one of his grandma's will only be there in spirit. I think it would be a good idea to have a picture of her in your program... That might make him feel better, although I would definitely let his family know that you will be doing that so they can prepare themselves. It's supposed to be a happy occasion.
Good Luck! and I'm sorry again. Give your FH a big from all of us here at LIW.

I'm so sorry for your loss
I think lighting a memorial candle about grandma during the ceremony will be a nice way to honor her.

Re: FH's Gradma passed away...
Maybe can you do a collage of some sort for his family that can be displayed at the wedding
I'm so sorry to hear that .... I made a memorial candle to burn the whole time at my engagemnet party with a pic of my dad next to it i printed out a saying on velum paper and wrapped it around a glass candle holder.... maybe you can do the same ... or release doves after the ceremony in memorial to her...
