FH's 'work' ring

FH's 'work' ring

So, we already purchased FH's wedding band but I was talking to him and I would really like to get him a second ring to wear to work because I am afraid of his real wedding band getting ruined. He works in wood floor installation so he obviously works with his hands a lot!

I don't want to spend too much money on this second ring. I was looking on Kohls.com and saw some that I like in the price range I want to spend but 2 of them are Stainless Steel and 2 are Titanium. Which metal do you think would be best? I want something that won't easily bend and also something that in case for whatever reason he can't get it off his finger, it can be cut off. I know one of these metals you can't cut but I don't know which one.

TIA!

Tungsten is suppose to be super strong, won't bend or scratch. They have their own web site and zales also sells the rings.

Pretty sure Tungsten is the one that can't be cut.

As far as those two, they are definitely super durable - he should look in person tho b/c I think one of them is MUCH lighter - want to say it's the steel, but I'm not positive.

Re: FH's 'work' ring

This is what i found when doing research for my FH's everyday ring:

Tungsten: Durable; strong & Heavy

Made of Hard Metal (4 times harder than titanium); practically impossible to destroy-hard as steel & does not scratch easily

Doesn’t tarnish like other metals (Need to buy Tungsten rings that contain carbide so it keeps it’s shiny & polished look).

Titanium : Durable; strong; Lightweight

Strong as steel but feels like aluminum; hold up to wear & tear but are lightweight. Hold up to extensive exposure to salt water & sun; Hypoallergenic (silver & gold allergies); doesn’t tarnish like silver or gold

Big Differences : If you slam your hand down; the titanium will bend & hurt your finger; the tungsten will remain it’s frame. Titanium is more light weight. Tungsten is 90 % heavier than steel; where titanium is 43% lighter than steel. Titanium can also be engraved.
