I just found out that FI will not be able to get home this weekend from his Naval base. We have an appt. with Wild Rose this Saturday. I will still be going since we had already decided to book them, I'll just have my Mom as my date.

He is currently stationed in Conn. until next month when he deploys on a ship headed towards Italy. Apparently they will be having some special 'manuevers' (sp) through Saturday and no one is allowed off base. We see each other ususally every weekend unless Uncle Sam says different (guard duty)

I feel your pain! Dh has a pass this weekend but just needs to find a flight but for some reason this is a real expensive weekend to fly into Florida even with a military discount. We even have a choice of a few airports but it isn't helping! argh!
I could really use him home to help with the new house we just bought that he hasen't lived in. He won't be back until mid summer and I've been praying for him to get this pass! And he did but the airfare is 800! Dammit what sucks the most is he is a pilot!
When we planned the wedding we did alot of video conferencing can you bring a webcam to wildrose with you?
I used to love the wierd looks I got because I used to bring a webcam everywhere or a video camera! lol

aww.. sorry.. I'm sure he's more upset than you are!!!!!!!
My FH is in the air force and bas mississippi , i brought a vide camera with me to all the places. I got weird looks but that was the only way he would see things.
