FI can't stop inviting people

My FI is not from the US and has only been here for a few years so he doesn't have a huge list of people to invite (most of his family can't make it). Originally, it was his brother and brother's girlfriend. I thought he should invite more people than that so he asked a friend from graduate school to be a GM and a friend to do a reading (she's athiest and it's a Catholic ceremony so this might not have been the BEST choice but I like her and am glad she's involved.)
Well, he said that's it. I thought he should think it over to be sure and he then decided to add 4 couples two days ago. My mom said to think long and hard because she is ordering invitations and she needs to know how many to order. He said he's done. Then yesterday he thought of 3 more couples and then today 3 more couples!!!!

I'm not complaining. I think it's funny (still funny because we haven't ordered the invites yet).

My mom is now jokingly refusing to order invites because tonight my FI said he promises he is done and out of nowhere his aunt (who lives 10,000 miles away) might now be in town so make that one more. Even I'm afraid to tell my mom at this point.
For someone who had nobody to invite - he's sure found a lot of people in the past week.

Is this just how men work? My dad said he was keeping his list small. Handed us 40 names of 40 couples. Then my mom said that he has mentioned to everyone he has seen in the last year that they are invited and brought the list to 74 (couples).

Men!!! They say women can't make up their minds?

We were at a bar and FH saw people he knows (acquaintances) and they asked how the wedding planning was going and FH told them they were invited!!! THat's the first I heard about it!!! We had a little talk about that afterwards!! I told him that he needs to let me know before he just invites people!!!
