FI finished re-doing our family room, anyone want to see?

He put up wainscotting and new trim around the doors and windows and painted it white. The walls are painted Navajo white and he tiled 1/3 of the room because the door to the outside will eventually lead to a hot tub!

I can't wait for the hot tub!

BTW the room is beautiful.... Is the trim crown molding? and is so can we see a close-up

What exactly is 'wainscotting'

Wainscotting is like wooden paneling that you usually put part of the way up the wall. You can kind of see it in her picture - it comes up just above the lower ledge of the window and it's white.
I love wainscotting!

Exactly, that is what it is. FI puts a chair
rail around the wainscotting.

Crown moulding is the moulding between the walls and the ceiling. Trim is around the windows and doors.

Thanks everyone, FI did a great job. He always does. I love the color of the room, it is very calming.
