FI left for Ireland yesterday!

My FI left for a two week holiday to Ireland (went home to see his mom and family). I dropped him off at the airport last night. Weird I didn't think I would miss him this much and it has only been one night. We have lived together for about 9 months and this is the first time that either one of us has been away for more then a weekend.

A little strange going to bed last night without him...

Regina, my husband went away last weekend from Thursday to Sunday. The first night I literally cried. We were never apart once in over 3 years! And we lived together for 2 & a half, so I know how you feel.

I went to dinner with my mom, I went out oneday wih my friend, I did girlie things at home and the time flew. By the time he came home I missed him, yet I had fun alone!

You will be ok & time will go by fast

Before we got married my husband started a new job. Every other week he had to leave for a week. It was very hard. With in a 3 month time span he was gone for 4 weeks - randomly. However, I kept myself very busy. During the day it is easier, it is the night that was hard. I would go on line, or go to my friends house, go out for dinner, have friends and/or family over for dinner and coffee. Hang in there before you know it he'll be back.

I decided to go see some girlfriends in Maryland this weekend to keep me occupied. Thanks for all the well wishes!!

Sorry you're sad.... DH is going to Ireland on the 14th! They'll probably pass each other in the airport!
