no, we haven't really fought. we have stressed out about money and stuff, but it hasn't led to a fight.

Re: Fights
we have-it comes and goes-we usually never worry at the same time-
you will get through it ....both of you must be on edge ...maybe just walk away the next time

Re: Fights
This is a very stressful time in your lives. It's expected that money issues will make it even more stressful. Just remember this is supposed to be a great time to share in the wedding planning. Try and make a budget, make a detailed to-do-list. The more organized you are the less stress you'll have. The budget will give you an idea as to where you are now and how much more you'll need to save. My budget has saved me from many meltdowns!!! Good luck!!!

Re: Fights
yes we fight. but most of it has nothing to do with the wedding. as it gets closer, we are a wee bit more on edge so the fighting gets a little more heated....but we both know that nothing we fight about is going to end our relationship. we fight, and move on. thats all you can do

Re: Fights
Me and my FH went thru the same thing about two months ago. We were fighting and stressing over everything. Some fo the fights were huge, but we realized what we were doing and sat down and had a long talk. Now I we just ignore each other when we get stressed and crabby.

Re: Fights
We have...and about the same subjects...its DEFINATELY all stress...but its just plain out annoying how all the little things bring on such petty fights...its not easy to relax when there is so much to do in regards to planning the wedding, when money is not exactly laying around to spend and trying to find a place to live not to mention every other thing that goes on in your daily lives i.e. school, work, etc. etc. I can't WAIT for the honeymoon

Re: Fights
We have been fighting a little more too - almost 100% about $$$ and his parents. Fights tend to happen when large payments are due to vendors and when we talk about the guest list

Re: Fights
We've been bickering a lot lately, and we never really have in the past. It is definately a combo of stress and tiredness

Re: Fights
My FH and I have disagreements about the money for the wedding and alittle about the future. Right now he wants to skip having a honeymoon until he have alittle more money. I am not happy about that.

Re: Fights
I must say that my FH has been nothing but comforting to me throughout this planning process...yes, we have the financial stress etc, but he is the only thing that has kept me grounded...I feel so lucky to have him...

Re: Fights
We've been okay. But my MOH is getting married in July and she called me crying last night because her FH is having doubts. He's got a lot of anxiety problems...so I'm thinking he's just stressed out right now. I'm crossing my fingers that's the only reason. They've been engaged since Christmas Eve '04 and I've noticed his anxiety has gotten worse since then...yikes.

Re: Fights
I think a lot (though not all) of couples fight either during their engagement or during the first few months of marriage.
I think for many couples this is the first time they have really had to talk about money and priories -- which can cause a lot of tension. Also marriage tends to bring out the oddest things in people - especially families. You might be getting pressure for both sides on issues you didn't have to face before. (How you'll raise children if you have them, where you'll live, whose job is most important etc).
My reaction is if you're having the same fight over and over again you should back and thing about what you're really fighting about and try to find a comprise that you can stick with.

Re: Fights
They aren't really fights, but definitely stress explosions. I freak out a lot more than FI does, so he knows that when I have the steam coming out of my ears, to just let me vent and I will be ok in a couple of minutes.

Re: Fights
No huge blow outs, but I feel kinda stressed that we haven't done some things. So I take it out on him when he is so lack-a-daisical (SP?). I mostly get over it though.
