The entire wedding planning I had decided to use my own salon. I kept telling the receptionist I wanted to use them and she told me not to worry, wait until about 2 months before the wedding and we'll get you all set up. So I call up Saturday and the person who would do my hair is on vacation until Aug. 24!!!!!! The receptionist said she's 99% sure he'll do it, but she can't say for sure because he's not here. So she told me to call back then to get everything situated. August 24 is 6 weeks before my wedding. What if he isn't available???? How am I going to find a hair person now?

post on the VHB boards. I'm sure there are still stylists available for your date. I have a lot of girls and just booked my second stylist last week, and my wedding was a little more than a month away.

Don't worry. I suggest that you ask the girls on here for hairdressers that they have been happy with and set-up trials in the meantime. In the meantime, also, set-up a definate trial with the person out-of-town.
Makes comparisons... Have a choice made by at least 5 weeks before.
It will be fine!!

That's so weird. Why don't they let you book an appointment with him now? I booked mine, just in case, like 9 months before the wedding. I didn't know if I would find someone better, and didn't want to risk being without one. Anyways, good luck! I hope it works out.
