Re: FIL 25th anniversary
how are you celebrating? MY FIL's will be celebrating 30 yrs of marriage this summer, we're planning an intimate dinner party in the Cellar at The Carltun. Thwy appreciate fine wine, & fab food.
A few years back for my parents 25th they had a big party (like a small wedding) so I think it depends on what they like, and once youdecide that, the details will easilt fall into place, lIke using their wedding song as a theme of the event, putting a line on the invites, the thank you 's the menu's, carryinh it through on all the stationary...

Re: FIL 25th anniversary
We are in the middle of planning my parent 50th party for this april. The only thing that we have done so far is put their wedding picture in the invitation. We are debating if we want to hire someone as a surprise (since they know about the party) so that they can renew their vows. The only thing that my mother saved from her wedding is her toasting glasses so we will bring them to the restaurant for them to use.

Re: FIL 25th anniversary
we were thinking of that but now plans have changed..
we are not going to a restaurant we will try and do it in the house to save some $$ b/c fh and i don't have any. we will have it catered and then decorate it all pretty... and we could invite all the ppl fmil wanted to have..

Re: FIL 25th anniversary
Great Idea, we were thinking of that , but that would give my FMIL more stree, and it would be really hard to hide from her, we're surprizing her

Re: FIL 25th anniversary
thats what we are trying to do but fsil goes to iona and fil go up there to visit so were gonna have her call them to come up like they need to do soemthing up there for her so they will be out for the day.. FMIL is crazy clean so it's not like well have to clean just decorate.. and we'll all pitch in to clean when it's over..
thats what i keep telling myself anyway

Re: FIL 25th anniversary
My FIL's also have an immaculant home, which I don't think is ever messy, (much credit to be given to their cleaning lady) I think to see people all over the home may be what would disturb her, the possibilty of putting glasses down w/o coasters, spilling wine, etc.

Re: FIL 25th anniversary
that isn't a problem for her her house is baby friendly, she has them there all the time she doesn't mind people in her house she is always throwing parties for people and people use her house for thier own parties...
