FIL semi-vent (a bit long ... sorry)
is it just my FILs or does anyone else have ILs that give horrible advice and referrals.
they referred FH to 'a guy they know' to make my e-ring ... they guy did an AWEFUL job ... the side-diamonds were not set correctly and one ended up falling out ... while fixing it (free of charge), we asked him to also make the ring a 1/2 size smaller ... he did that and gave the ring back ... side-diamond was fine ... but the ring setting is now lopsided ... the guy was hoping we wouldn't notice ... but it's obvious!!! so FH and I had an appointment with him today (to get the setting fixed) after i got out of work ... FH called to ask if we can come in earlier and their office closed at 4:30 ...
so then FILs referred FH and I to a rabbi they know ... we made an appointment with him ... we drive over there and he wasn't even there! he was apparently delayed by a prev appointment which started late. but couldn't he call us and let us know? we told FILs that it's ridiculous ... they say 'well, reschedule with him and see how you like him' ... are you kidding me? the guy just missed an appointment ... there's no way i'm giving him a 2nd chance!
