FIL Vent....just back from the hospital -long-

Ok so I thought it was a little strange that I hadn't heard from FH all day. I get home from work and try to call his house. No answer. About 20 minutes later he calls and tells me that he's sick. He's been running 104 fever all day. I ask him if he went to the doctor. He says yes, his mother took him at 1 o'clock. Meanwhile getting him to talk is like pulling teeth...so next question....did the doctor give you anything? He says, 'Yes, the doctor told me that he didn't like how my lungs sounded and that he was writing a prescription for a chest x-ray and blood work and that I should go to the hospital. Soooo...it's 6:30...WHY didn't he go to the hospital? Because no one would drive him (they were busy inspecting their kitchen cabinets). So guess who got in the car, picked him up and drove him to the hospital? yes, that would be me. When I get to his house to drive him his mother comes out and hands me his prescription for the antibiotic that the doctor wrote him and she says here....you might as well drop this off on the way. Is is me or should some at his house had the brains to fill the prescription after the doctor's appointment at 1:30 in the afternoon on the way to the hospital to find out if he has pneunomnia or not?????????? What the hell is wrong with this family???? So of course I ask FH what the heck was going on at the house all day. He said both his parents were home opening up the boxes of kitchen cabinets that arrived at 9am. I am just about fit to be tied with these people. They're just not normal. My FH was so feverish and achy that he could barely get himself out of bed...do you think his parents at least even offered him and ASPRIN????????????????? No, why would they....they were too F(*&%ing busy looking over cabinets to be concerned about their son. Sorry ladies....I had to vent I am so pissed off. So lets keep fingers crossed for FH....the doctor will call with the test results tomorrow.

That's really terrible. I hope he feels better.
He is very lucky he has you. If he didn't he may still be in bed waiting for some medicine.

My fingers are crossed that everything comes back ok with his test result.

Sorry to hear about your crazy in-laws...it definitely sounds like they did not have their priorities straight today.

On a more positive note, I hope your FH feels better soon! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you both that the test results bring you good news.

Hope FH is feeling better.

I have the opposite problem, I went with DH to the ER & later his mom was all' why didn't you call me?' , and now I feel like she thinks I can't take care of him properly.
