i have heard that later in the day you can still find decent stuff and you don't have to deal with all the crowds!

It couldn't hurt- I've also heard that sometimes it's more calm later in the day and more organized.

Barb went last year in the afternoon and she said they still had dresses. I believe she stopped at the one in Manhasset.
