Final DIY invite sample........i think LOL repost from 09

My cardstock finally came last night

i had to tweak my template for the pocket folds a bit since this cardstock is thicker but here it is.......

still needs a little more tweaking here and there but this is the basic design.

what do you think honestly? please i'm open to opinions good and bad

the pre scored and folded sheet

invite and direction card layed out(there will be 3 more inserts)

closed before ribbons

with ribbons and tag.... this will be more centered

with the bow holding it closed... this will be more centered also

in the envelope( i did the liner too)

they came out great!!! Did you just glue the ribbon around the back of the invite and to the front??? How did u do it?

double sided tape

first i put the ivory ribbon around it and stuck it down with the tape.

since the navy ribbon is sheer i didn't want people to see globs of glue or dots either.
so i put tape down on top of the ivory and lined up the navy where i wanted it to tie it.

i just can't decide if i want to do a french knot (i think thats what it's called) or actually tie a bow

invite itself: BRIDES kit from michales

cardstock for the pocket folds: 11 X 17 stardream cover paper from paperworrks.com (they are a pleasure to deal with) I ordered the color sample set first to make sure i was ordering the right color

inserts: i came accross pre cut stardream text weight paper in the color i wanted really cheap so i ordered that from cutcardstock.com

the ribbons i picked up at dollar tree and ac moore
