Final Guest List

I am having an extremly difficult time getting a final guest list...with names spelled correctly and full completed addresses from my future mother in law. I started asking for this info in October 2004. I told her that I would like the info by March 1st....so That I can give the Bridal Shower list to my sister and mother by April. (I guess I should have mentioned that I am an August 2005 bride) My parents spend July traveling, so I think that my mother will have the bridal shower in June. As of right now I have no idea how many people my future mother in law plan on inviting. So my mother is complaining to me that she can't even look for a place for the bridal shower since she has no idea on the guest count. Everytime I bring up the guest list to my future mother in law she has some excuse as to why she hasn't had time to work on this list. My fiance jsut keeps saying that doing everything last minute is how she has always been, and don't expect to change her. She recently told me that since she is in the process of moving right now she doesn't have time to work on the list. I told her that I understand her situation, but I need this info no later than April 1st....since I promised my mother and sister that I will have the bridal shower list to them by this April 2nd. She told my Fiance that I am pressuring her. I feel that I have been extremly patient. What would you do in my situation?

If she doesn't give you the list then her 'people' aren't invited to the shower. I bet when you tell her that you'll see a list appear!

I did mention that to my Fiance...but he did have a good point...that would cause alot of other problems with his family. Even though they all agree that I gave her enough time to provide the guest list. Somehow I would end up being the bad guy.

I am going through the same thing. i am trying to send out my invitiations this weekend and we still dont have a final guest list. My FMIL doesnt know how to spell anyones names and they are telling me to address the invites to there nicknames(this is a spanish family). I am having a hard time doing that, i want them to be formal. I only ordered 150 ivitations so if thats not enough tought sh**, b/c i have been asking for a year for a guest list with addresses.
