Final Payment question

Final Payment question

For the florist, limo, DJ (pretty much every vendor except the RH), how are you all been making your final payments as far as method of payment?

Check?
Cash?

I'm trying to decide if from this point forward if we should just start keeping cash in envelopes to get ready for the final payments/meetings with the vendors or keep it in the bank. All the payments are going to be due in about a month's time anyways. I am a little skeptical about the payments being in cash. I guess as long as we get a receipt stating we are paid in full than it's fine. It's just such a hassle to keep putting the money in the bank and then taking it out and transferring it to our wedding savings account on ING and then taking it out again a week later. It's just too much hassle at this point.

Plus if I can not waste a check I am all for it.

We paid all our final payments in cash. You could also do a money order if you want some kind of receipt other than what they give you. Most vendors won't even accept check/cc for a final payment.

I plan on paying with bank checks this way I have copies of EVERYTHING!

Ok cool. I know that the florist would rarther have the cash (plus they won't charge tax if paid in cash) but wasn't sure about the other vendors.

Mostly all of my vendors require CASH... some will accept certified checks instead, but some state cash only, like my florist.. I plan on doing everything in cash and just being sure I receive signed receipts for everything (unless of course its the day of the wedding and services have already been rendered, then I don't care!)
