FINALLY booked rehearsal dinner
WOW...this was harder than picking a RH...LOL
My must haves...I wanted everyone to sit at one table...we have 30 people...I wanted a private or semi private room...food must be good...duh! =)
We were thinking of having it at Danfords...great food...perfect location, but they wouldnt let us have it in the upstairs room overlooking the water...only in the conference room overlooking the parking lot. Not too bad except, the kitchen was across the parking lot in another building...that means everytime we need something, they have to go across the parking lot? ...and bring the food for 30 guests across the parking lot? NOT loving it...
We then went to Pasta Pasta in PJ...also GREAT food...perfect location...comparible in price to Danfords...def. couldn't do one long table...
Then we checked out Amici's in Mt. Sinai...Very Good food...def. can do one long table...only problem...they wouldn't give us a private room becuase I ONLY had 30 people!?! They said they could fit 45 in that room...so...they were going to put other tables around us in this little room....NOT loving that idea...also expensive in price.
Over all...all 3 places above would have been about $2000 just for dinner for 30 people including Full Dinner menu with dessert, soda, beer, wine, tax, 18% grat. etc...
FH and I went to Mama's in Centereach (they have 3 locations - Holbrook and Oakdale) The food was REALLY good...we decided to stop there on the way home from dinner at Amici's tonight and guess what? They are soooooo much more accomidating then the other 3 and sooooooo much more affordable. I FINALLY am happy with our decision...so...if anyone is looking for a good place for a rehearsal dinner...I highly recommend Mama's.
