FINALLY finished my damn programs!

those are AMAZING! i love seeing all of you girls and your projects. they are beautiful. can you FM a how you made them (not all the details, just an idea of how much time it took and what you needed, and how much it cost you?) Or if you want I can just hire you to make mine!

I also put the lights on the sign in tree (no pics yet). Now next weekend we move on to packing up the favors then get to organize all the wedding stuff! Whooo HOOO

what did u use to do this? I am just so amazed by all your projects. Also, where did you get that W monogram.

wow, those look great, you should be sooo proud of yourself, they look very professional..

I used the program Indesign which is just a layout program. I used a half sheet of an 8.5 x 11 so the dimensions are 11 x 4.25 flat and then 5.5 x 4.25 when folded.

The monogram was done by me in Illustrator. I used a serif font for the W then added accents to it to make it appear as a stamp.

I really don't know the costs per program because in the end all my stuff cost about $400 (invites, menus, programs, seating cards, etc) The only thing that did cost me a lot (and was not factored in originally in the budget) was the ribbon because it only came in small amounts so i couldn't bulk buy it and it cost me in the end.

The stock is 80lb Cover (the ivory is from the paper company cougar) the cover is probably 80lb-90lb cover.

I had to do everything in steps. Printed all of programs on a laser printer, printed inside sheets two up on a 8.5 x 11 then stacked the green paper where it needed a cover - then cut them down to size. Then I had to hand score each page (this was the biggest pain) so it folded a lot neater then it did with out it. Since it was done by hand some sheets were not done perfect so as i said lesson learned just give to someone who has a score blade (which i am now going to purchase). Then I had to punch holes (fh did this) and thread ribbon, then i had to take cut pieces of the orange strips and rubber cement them to the page then rubber cement my monogram cut pieces.

IN the end this took a lot of my time up and if i was going to do this for someone else I would charge them at least $-1-2 for assembly alone. Printing is not too expensive and paper is what paper costs to purchase. It is the time you need to invest in these things.

I am going to have business cards handed out at WOTY but since I can't solicite officialy if you want my card just come up and ask me. I also am doing my webpage over to show the invitation I am currently doing. So i am up for hire especially for design work ( i can give pricing on that) its the printed aspect is hard for me to figure out right now but I am working on that.
