FINALLY got through to the Deacon!

I've been calling my church and leaving messages every 2 weeks for the Deacon that schedules rehearsals to call me back....for the past 6 MONTHS. I've even gone to the church and left messages in person several times.

In our parish, you have to take a 'facilities tour' with Deacon A - they show you the church, go over the ground rules, tell you what you can't do (petals, rice, runner, everything), and sign off that you will comply - and you're not allowed to schedule a rehearsal until that is done. My wedding is roughly 4 months away - I wanted to schedule a rehearsal!!!

After Deacon A approves you, you have to contact Deacon B to actually schedule the rehearsal. This step is easier, because you don't actually have to meet in person.

I've been trying for 6 MONTHS to get a call back from Deacon A...I don't know what came over me this morning, but I'd had enough. I sat in the parish center for over an hour, until the receptionist would give me the Deacon's cell #.

I asked FH to call the cell this afternoon, and lo and behold, he gets right through and the Deacon gives us an appointment for Saturday. WHY COULDN'T HE RETURN MY CALLS!??!?!

So now FH thinks he's awesome.
